Bayeux

The Bayeux Tapestry is figurative embroidery that depicts the events leading up to and the conquest of England by the Normans at the Battle of Hastings in 1066 AD. It is 20 inches high and 230 feet long (0,5 x 70 m) and is now kept in the city of Bayeux in Normandy, France. It is the most detailed depiction of medieval life in existence and remains a cornerstone of medieval art because of its unique style and historical accuracy.
