Le Pic Vert
Tapestry designed by William Morris (1834-1896). 'I once a King and chief Now am the tree-bark's thief, Ever 'twixt trunk and leaf Chasing the prey.' refers to the legend, as recounted by the Latin poet Ovid, of Picus, an ancient Italian king who was turned into a woodpecker.
La tapisserie est entièrement doublée dans un solide tissu en coton. Une poche de tringle est prévue au sommet.
